Queen’s Green Canopy
Brief
To work with celebrated photographer Adrian Houston on his exhibition and book The Queen’s Green Canopy.
Strategy
Jori White PR had worked with Adrian on several previous projects. Exposure for these had been so high profile that it led to Adrian being commissioned to photograph the 70 ancient trees and 70 ancient woodlands dedicated to Her Late Majesty in celebration of the Platinum Jubilee.
Entitled The Queen’s Green Canopy, these photographs were then compiled into a book featuring a foreword from King Charles III. An exhibition followed by a charity auction, with a donation going to the Q GC's tree planting initiative, was held at Sotheby’s.
The opening night was attended by royalty and some of the UK’s most significant entrepreneurs, captains of industry, influencers and VIPs, including HRH Princess Anne, Chairman of Sotheby’s Lord Harry Dalmeny, Lord Cranborne, Lord Valentine Cecil, Sir Richard Carew Pole, Deputy Lieutenant of Cornwall Trustee of the Tate and legendary chef Raymond Blanc.
Results
Publicity was spearheaded by a serialisation of the book in the Sunday Times. Adrian was extensively interviewed by everyone from The Daily Mail and The Telegraph to BBC Radio London and LBC whilst the exhibition was covered on BBC Breakfast, CNT, GQ, the Daily Mirror, Country & Townhouse and The Resident among others.
The publication was number one in Amazon’s Landscape Photography department
