Forest Side

Brief

To position this Lake District restaurant with room as one of the UK’s leading hospitality venues.

Strategy

  • Kick-started the campaign with a hook around the Lake District having more Michelin Stars than any other area of the UK bar London. The story was picked up by the likes of The Guardian, Time Out and LUX magazine

  • Helped develop and promote Food February, whereby guest chefs cooked alongside head chef Paul Leonard. Secured a launch exclusive with Forbes

  • Introduced Michelin consultant Derek Bulmer to the property who advised how the restaurant could win a second star

  • Secured an advantageous membership package with Harden’s

  • Hosted press trips with key media, including the Mail Online, Bespoke Black Book, Berkeley Bespoke, Big Hospitality, PORT magazine, The Independent, The Observer, Euronews and The Week

  • Following the Mail Online’s visit, the site featured two large features on Forest Side, together with an interview with Paul Leonard

  • A campaign around the Forest Side’s dog-friendly stance was covered by everyone from the Manchester Evening News to Women’s Health

Results

Jori White PR’s campaign was directly responsible for Forest Side rising to number 60 in the National Restaurant Awards Top 100. The property has received a plethora of additional awards including AA Hotel of the Year England 2023 and Good Hotels Guide UK’s Best Country Hotel 2023
